Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 5, 2026.
Treqdesk Inc. ("Treqdesk," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, process, manage, and safeguard the information you provide us when you interact with our Slack-native helpdesk software (the "Service").
1. The Information We Collect
When you install and use the Treqdesk application within your Slack workspace, we collect the minimal data necessary to route, manage, and track support requests. This data includes:
- Workspace and Administrator Profile Data: Information pulled during the OAuth 2.0 authorization, including your Slack workspace ID, workspace URL, and the basic profile profile (ID, name, email) of the user installing the app and granting permissions.
- Slack Messages and Channels: Message text, timestamps, user IDs, and metadata strictly associated with messages reacting to the designated ticket creation emojis (e.g., 🎫, 🎟️) or messages posted within configured Triage and Source channels.
- User Profile Data (Agents and Requestors): The name, email, and user ID of members who create, are assigned to, or comment on tickets.
- Configuration and Settings: Routing rules, agent capacities, auto-assignment rules, custom team mappings, and other settings created by workspace owners or administrators.
- Payment Information: For Pro tier subscribers, financial and billing information is securely processed directly by our third-party infrastructure (e.g., Stripe, Dodo Payments). Treqdesk only receives cryptographic tokens and references to subscriptions, not raw credit card details.
2. How We Use the Data
Treqdesk is a processor of your Slack data. We do not sell or monetize your communication data. We use the collected data strictly to:
- Provide, maintain, and optimize the Service.
- Automate support workflows by reading designated reactions and executing routing actions.
- Synchronize states across your Slack threads, ticket cards, and internal databases.
- Authenticate administrators to the billing portal for subscription upgrades and seat management.
- Generate usage analytics and leaderboard statistics solely for the benefit of your workspace.
- Provide technical support and fulfill our legal requirements.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share your personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services for infrastructure hosting (e.g., AWS, Turso/SQLite), error tracking (e.g., Sentry), and payment processing. These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or if such action is necessary to comply with the law and reasonable requests of law enforcement.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred with the explicit commitment that the acquiring entity continues to honor this Privacy Policy.
4. Slack's Privacy and OAuth Scopes
Treqdesk is built on the Slack API. The application only asks for the specific OAuth scopes required to function (such as `channels:history`, `chat:write`, `reactions:read`, and `users:read.email`). We do not ingest the history of private channels unless the Treqdesk bot is explicitly invited to the channel by an administrator. You should also refer to Slack's Privacy Policy to understand how Slack manages your data.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain the data processed on behalf of your workspace for as long as your workspace remains an active subscriber of the Service. When you uninstall Treqdesk and request an account deletion, we purge your support tickets, messages, settings, and analytical data from our operational databases within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance.
6. Security Measures
We employ industry-standard, commercially reasonable security measures (including encryption in transit via HTTPS/TLS and encryption at rest) designed to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no digital transmission over the internet or cloud storage network is guaranteed to be 100% secure.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold, request corrections to inaccuracies, or request the erasure of your personal data. Because we act as a Data Processor for the data in your Slack workspace, requests regarding end-user data (e.g., an individual agent or requestor) should generally be directed to the workspace Owner (the Data Controller). We will assist workspace Owners in fulfilling these requests.
8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Should we make material changes to how we process or protect your data, we will notify the workspace Owner via email or a notification within the Slack app.
